" The idea came to me when I noticed my love to sit at home ,then I decided to search for something that won’t contradict that"

Staying in him , which came in favor of him, as it made him discover his passion in editing, and he made a living out of it. Mohamed noticed that he loves to sit at home and that he does not leave the house except for the necessary things such as exercise, however, even his exercise, he finishes it quickly and returned home back again. All the things Mohamed wanted to do required him to get out of the house, which was uncomfortable for him. But, after entering the Faculty of Language and Communication at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, he became a totally new person by discovering new things about himself that he didn’t know before.

When he entered college, it was difficult for him to discover his passion. Until he found his way, which is the field of editing and motion graphics “I liked this field because I can finish my work from my place and it doesn’t require me to leave the house “he said.

The things that he loved most were editing, applied arts, and designing. So, he decided to dig deeper into those fields. “First I started with some photo editing on Photoshop. And video editing on premier” he said. after that, he got deep in effects and Motion Graphics programs such as after effects and drawing on the Illustrator program.

However, his love and prowess in editing interfered with his family's refusal to rely on it as a source of income “I faced a very strong rejection from my family when they knew my desire to work in this field, since they preferred me being a journalist. Indeed, I worked for a period of time as a journalist and I took a professional ID for an online newspaper, but I felt that it was not my place, that I was not born to work in the press” he said. then Mohamed decided to go on his way, no matter the rejection he faced “I was successful in it, and I felt that this is the field I would be most creative in” he said.

He was determined to complete his path and follow his passion and started to work for small companies and made advertising campaigns for many restaurants, people, and educational centers to gain the required experience that qualified him to start his own business. Afterwards, he founded a marketing online business with a group of his friends, which allowed him to pursue his love for editing.

However, his prowess in editing helped him to be nominated as a teacher assistant at work. “He spent every time he had and exerted huge effort helping students to find their passion, and his imprint was very clear on everything he did, especially in the field of design and graphics that needed someone with a different vision” Dr. Bassant Attia, the Head of Media department CLC,describing Mohamed.

Editing was very clear in putting his imprint on his personality, as it taught him when to say a certain sentence in a situation and when to remain silent, how to respect each thing/ person’s role, and finally how to benefit from any images that weren’t in use. "I remember how I saved whole scene in our graduation movie by using a rapid editing for those bad shots” He said.

However, he did not stop and continued developing himself and acquiring some skills. He thinks that the current situation which, is the pandemic allowed him to know more about different medias that he didn’t know before “such as making a whole new movie from archive materials just with some magical touches in editing,” he said.

In addition, Mohammed used his magical touches in editing to raise the awareness for coronavirus’s dangers, and how people could spend their time during quarantine. The video had been well received by many people in Facebook platform.

Noteworthy, Muhammad was obsessed with videogames since his childhood, until he developed a close relationship with them. Thus, when he entered college, he felt that anything that will be done through these devices will be good and easy for him, and this was the key, which helped him reach his passion in the world of editing, as when he tried editing, he felt that he was in his comfort zone.

He thinks that future dreams do not necessarily mean increasing income and having some luxuries. The editors’ dreams could be different from anyone else, as those dreams are limited to improving the quality of their work by gaining some skills and learning some things that they have lack in. “I need to learn some programs that are related to 3D especially cinema 4D program, so I can work with them parallel with after effects software,” he said.
