Q) what is your job ?

I am a doctor , my speciality is in chest diseases , at Abo – Quer hospital , I am

working there from 2013.

Q ) Does the new corona virus , Covid – 19 affect your work ?

Yes, it has bad effects on our jobs and even our lives entirely . the work becomes

stressful and I stopped working in my private clinic to reduce the chance of infection

by the covid -19 .

Q) what are the impacts that Covid - 19 on the hospital ?

It has many serious and terrible impacts that due to the increasing number of affected

cases the hospital turned to quarantine hospital to welcome them and offer the

treatment and care for the patient having the early and mild signs . so we deal with

these cases directly that increases the chance to get the infection easier so we take the

precautions to prevent or reduce that as much as possible .

Q) How does the hospital welcome the patients ?

Firstly , we are prepared to welcome the new positive cases and separate them in the

rooms where it is sterilized , we calm them and start to clarify that it is a simple case .

Q) what are the precautions the hospital focused on after these

crisis?

sterilization procedures must be done every day at time intervals . the hospital

supplies the medical stuff daily with protective disposable tools as face mask ,

overhead, overshoes, gloves and protective gown . Also the hospital stopped to

welcome patients in the clinics . New medical stuff of doctors and nurses were be

hired to overcome these problem . we focus on keeping distance between us .

Q) what are the feeling of patients inside a quarantine hospital ?

Patients are very depressed and disappointed , they are worried about their families

so we try to calm them and reassure them that they will be okay and they should

reduce the feel of stress as it weaken their immunity .

Q) how much time do you work daily ?

the hospital issued that each doctor or nurse have to work for two weeks without

vacation , we stay at the hospital for those two weeks and then locate inside the

hospital for another two weeks to see if the doctor get the infection or not . Then go

home for another one week and then back to work for two weeks and so on .

Q) what are the precautions and instruction you stick to when you

entered the hospital ?

once I enter the hospital I wear the protective gown , overhead , overshoes, gloves

and mask and I the distance between other doctors , nurses and patients . I always

wash and sterilize my hands using soaps alcohol . washing my hands using soaps

each time for 30 seconds and repeating this continuously all over the day .

Q) why do you choose to continue in your job ? And what do you feel

?

I choose to continue in my job to save lives ad rescue patients who affected that it is

my goal and passion . I do not like to give up on the patients who need my help . I feel

so scared but my duty is to be beside the patients and take care of them .

Q) In your opinion , the health organizations in the world can stand

up for these terrifying health crisis ?

I think it is a very difficult mission as the virus is spreading rapidly and causes

serious symptoms to the patients . Also ,the treatment needs a reasonable budget to

be achieved . but they can over come this crisis when all of us be aware of the

dangerous effects of these virus globally . that we must help them to move forward

and contain these virus quickly . By keeping the social distance between us and using

sterilizers .

Q) what do you do inside your house to keep your family safe ?

After these health crisis , my wife and sons go to live in my mum`s house to reduce

the chance of infection by me . And I never met any one of my family till iam sure

that I am not carrying the virus .

I am always using alcohol sanitisers to keep my hands clean from any germs and I

stay at home .

Q) Do you affected psychologically by the predicament occurs ?

Sure , I work under stress , people start dealing with doctors as a source of infection

and that hurts a lot .

Q) what should people do to protect their lives from these virus ?

what precautions do you recommend ?

I recommend to stay at home to stay safe . using soaps which are germ killer and

alcohol sanitisers when touching any thing from outside the house . they should not

exist in crowded places . when going out , they must wear mask and gloves , do not

remove the face mask for any reason when going out . having liquids that contain

vitamin C . Taking ZINC pills to raise their immunity . cleaning their houses using

chlorine and sterilizers . Repeating hand washing using soaps and alcohol sterilizer .

Doctors works in health isolation hospitals in Egypt are suffering that they do not

receive care or sufficient protective measures in hospitals , About 19 death cases till

now for doctors who works in these hospitals , they need more trainings to deal with

the infected cases , they demand more attention from the ministry of health to supply

them with appropriate preventive tools and isolation hospitals to welcome the

infected cases of infected doctors and nurses . Also , they receiving attacks from

people on social media that they are ignores their role and seek for saving their lives

over seeking for saving other patients . Doctors are badly affected and feeling sorry

for losing their mates , they take exception that there are no provision to quickly

rescue the infected doctors until they die and providing the actress Ragaa Elgdawy

with means of care and taken immediately to the isolation hospital . they are suffering

from shortage of industrial respirators that the cause of death of doctor Ahmed Ellwah

, first doctor died with corona virus .they do not get enough care and encouragement .

More over ,They face other severe problem , ministry of health issued that there is

no testing for any contacts to the affected doctor until symptoms appear , that can

worsen the case of the person if he is a carrier. Moreover they receiving charges that

they are delinquents .
